Terms of Service

Last updated: May 15, 2026. These terms govern your use of our website and services. By booking a service or using our website, you agree to these terms.

1. About Us

The Window Guys ("we," "us," "our") is a residential window cleaning service operating in Milton, Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. We can be contacted at (647) 553-1021 or info@thewindowguyscanada.ca.

2. Services Offered

We provide professional residential exterior window cleaning using pure water technology, including:

  • Exterior window glass cleaning
  • Window screen cleaning (included with full service)
  • Window frame and sill wiping
  • Walk-through inspection before completion

We currently do not offer interior window cleaning, eavestrough cleaning, pressure washing, or commercial window cleaning. Services are residential-only.

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes are free and provided within 2 hours of your request during business hours (Mon–Sat, 8am–6pm). Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date provided.

Our pricing is flat-rate based on home size and window count. The quoted price is what you pay. Exceptions:

  • If the home is significantly different from the description provided (e.g., quoted as 2-storey, actually 3-storey)
  • If significant additional features were not disclosed (e.g., extensive skylights, double-height windows beyond standard)
  • If the property requires unusual access (e.g., locked gates without arrangement)

In any of these cases, we will discuss adjustment with you before proceeding with the work — we will not surprise you with extra charges after the fact.

4. Booking and Cancellation

Bookings are confirmed verbally by phone or via email. We do not require deposits for standard residential service.

Cancellation by you: Please give us at least 24 hours notice. No fees for cancellations with proper notice. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in declining future bookings.

Cancellation/rescheduling by us: We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather (heavy rain, severe wind, freezing temperatures making water-fed pole impractical) or equipment issues. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer the next available slot.

5. Service Delivery

We aim to arrive within the agreed service window. Service typically takes 1-3 hours depending on home size and window count. We require:

  • Access to an outdoor water tap
  • Unlocked gates or access to the property exterior
  • Clearance around windows (move outdoor furniture/plants if needed)

You do not need to be home during service.

6. Satisfaction Guarantee

We walk every window with you before leaving. If any window is not satisfactory, we will re-wash it on the spot at no additional cost.

If you notice an issue after we've left (within 48 hours of service), please contact us. If the issue is something we missed or did poorly, we'll return to fix it at no charge. If the issue is environmental (new dirt accumulated, fingerprints, etc.), that's outside our service scope.

7. Payment

Payment is due immediately after the work is completed and you've approved the result.

We accept:

We do not accept credit/debit cards at this time. We do not require deposits or up-front payment.

8. Liability

We exercise reasonable care to avoid damage to your property. Our pure water cleaning system uses no chemicals, no ladders for most homes, and no high pressure — significantly reducing risk compared to traditional methods.

In the unlikely event of damage caused by our negligence, we will:

  • Acknowledge responsibility
  • Arrange and pay for repair through a qualified contractor
  • Or compensate you for the reasonable cost of repair

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage (cracked glass, loose seals, damaged frames) — we'll point these out before starting
  • Damage from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (weather, third parties)
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Our maximum liability for any single service is limited to the price paid for that service, unless required otherwise by law.

9. Photography and Marketing

We may take photos of windows and exterior building features (without identifying details like address numbers or persons) for our portfolio and marketing materials. If you do not want photos taken of your property, please notify us before service begins. We respect that request without question.

For featured before/after photos showing more of your home, we will ask for your explicit written consent.

10. Website Use

You may use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • Copy our content without permission
  • Attempt to disrupt our website's operation
  • Use our website to send spam, malware, or unauthorized communications
  • Submit false information through our forms

We reserve the right to refuse service or restrict website access to anyone violating these terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, logos, photos, design elements — is owned by The Window Guys and protected by copyright. The name "The Window Guys" and our logo are trademarks. You may not reproduce or use them without permission.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via our website. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated terms.
